Here’s a breakdown of the scholarship program
- Who can apply? This scholarship is open to students from all countries who are interested in obtaining a PhD in Economics.
- What does the scholarship cover? The scholarship offers full tuition coverage, meaning you won’t have to pay for your classes. Additionally, you’ll receive a generous stipend of £15,950 (estimated amount) per year to cover your living and research expenses. This stipend is equivalent to the UK Research Council (RCUK) rate. There’s also a research support grant of £750 per year during your PhD years to help with research costs.
- What’s the program structure? The scholarship is designed for a five-year program. The first two years will involve an MRes (Master of Research) in Economics, which provides a strong foundation for your PhD research. MRes students with good academic performance will be given priority for admission into the PhD program, which typically lasts for three to four years. In the second year of the program, you might have a small teaching obligation to gain practical experience.
